Gain practical, real-world Environmental Permitting knowledge from consultants who actively prepare permit applications, undertake environmental risk assessments and support businesses through regulatory compliance every day.
Unlike traditional training courses, the WPS Environmental Permitting Training Programme combines specialist technical training with a premium residential experience, allowing delegates to fully immerse themselves in the subject matter while networking with like-minded environmental professionals.
Environmental permitting can be one of the most challenging aspects of environmental compliance. Understanding whether a permit is required, identifying the correct permit type and preparing a successful application requires both technical knowledge and practical experience.
At WPS Compliance Consulting, we provide a practical Environmental Permitting Training Programme designed to help delegates understand the permitting process from start to finish.
Unlike many training providers, our consultants actively prepare Environmental Permit Applications, Environmental Risk Assessments, Written Management Systems and supporting documentation for clients throughout the UK.
Environmental Permitting is the regulatory system used to control activities that could impact the environment.
Many industrial processes, waste operations, treatment facilities, water discharge activities and installations require Environmental Permits before they can legally operate.
Businesses frequently struggle to answer questions such as:

The residential format allows delegates to focus entirely on learning while developing valuable industry connections.
Choosing the right Environmental Permitting training provider can make a significant difference to what you take away from the programme. It is about learning from consultants who apply that legislation every day, helping businesses navigate complex permitting requirements, prepare successful applications and maintain environmental compliance.
At WPS Compliance Consulting, Environmental Permitting forms part of our day-to-day consultancy work. Our team regularly prepares Environmental Permit Applications, undertakes Environmental Risk Assessments, develops Written Management Systems and works directly with regulators to support businesses across a wide range of sectors.
This practical experience shapes every aspect of our training. Rather than relying solely on theory, we use real project examples, practical exercises and current industry knowledge to help delegates understand not only what the regulations require, but how they are applied in practice.
Training is delivered in small delegate groups, encouraging discussion, practical problem-solving and direct interaction with experienced environmental consultants throughout the programme.
Whether you are completely new to Environmental Permitting or looking to build on existing knowledge, our aim is to provide practical, commercially relevant training that delegates can apply with confidence when they return to their own organisations.

What Our Delegates Say
★★★★★
“I attended WPS Compliance Consulting’s Environmental Permitting Course and found it to be both beneficial and informative.
The course provided a high-level overview of environmental permitting and the key considerations involved, giving a clear understanding of the permitting process and regulatory requirements. The content was well structured, easy to follow and supported by practical industry experience.
Given the challenges and requirements within our own business, we probably could have spent a few more weeks discussing permitting in greater detail. However, the course achieved exactly what it set out to do by providing a solid foundation and broader understanding of environmental permitting.
I would recommend the course to anyone looking to improve their knowledge of environmental permitting, whether they are new to the subject or looking to strengthen their existing understanding.”
