Claire is extremely well educated in her subject, having completed a BSc through the Open University in a variety of subjects including Geology, Chemistry and Environmental Management; achieved a post graduate CIPD qualification – Diploma in Training and Development; has qualifications in Preparing to Teach in the Life Long Learning Sector (PTLLS) and is a Chartered Waste Manager. Her education is supported by over 30 years’ experience within the Waste and Environmental sector, which includes working for the Environment Agency and the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), where, latterly, she pioneered their Professional Development Framework, as well as the new generation of virtual / online learning.

Lara Ayris MSc (Hons) BSc (Hons) MCIWM CEnv

Managing Director

Lara is both well educated in her subject [BSc Hons, Earth Sciences, MSc, Environmental Management and MSc, Advanced Industrial Practice (Wastes Management)] and has a great depth of experience gained from a career that has included employment at the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) and Building Research Establishment (BRE). Lara is a Chartered Waste Manager and Fellow of CIWM (FCIWM) and also, a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv). In May 2022 Lara was included on the ENDS Power List of the 100 most influential Environmental Consultants in the UK! Lara is also an accomplished speaker, participates in the Right Waste Right Place campaign (RWRP) events, as well as at exhibition forums and relevant symposiums. In addition, Lara is a part time University Lecturer and ‘guest lectures’ at other times too.

Louise Maxwell BSc (Hons) PGCert

Tutor/ Senior Consultant

Louise is a practical, experienced professional in Wastes Management and Environmental Sustainability. She holds a BSc Hons in Waste Management and Pollution Control, and a teaching qualification, a PGCert teaching qualification.  She is an Affiliate member of the CIWM and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy of Teaching. She has over 24 years of expertise in Waste Management delivering funded research, consultancy, community work and educational development projects as well as developing and delivering Wastes Management and Environmental courses and training in her former role at the University of Northampton.  Louise also has a publishing record in Waste Management and Circularity Principles.
