Responsible Construction Practices – Environmental Management (BREEAM MAN03.1)
What does a management system include?
An Environmental Management System (EMS) is a set of practices that documents how a principal contractor reduces their overall environmental impact and reduces waste costs.
Having an EMS on site will help to achieve environmental goals, which are a key part of BREEAM and the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) accreditations, through a consistent approach that minimises the impact on the construction site productivity.
To qualify for the BREEAM credits the EMS must be accredited, either to ISO14001 standard, or prepared and implemented to the BS8555:2003 (Implementation Stage 4).
WPSCC can prepare, maintain and audit your EMS.
