What is a building user guide (BUG) ?

A BUG is an essential part of the handover documentation for the BREEAM Man04.4 credit. The BUG aims to provide a simple and quick reference guide for the occupants of a new (or refurbished) building.

It describes the systems that have been installed and how they work, it explains how the building and its facilities operate on a day-to-day basis and who to contact in case of a problem or emergency.
