Ecological Value Of Site And Protection Of Ecological Features (BREEAM LE02)
What is a BREEAM LE02 credit ?
This credit is designed to encourage development on land that already has limited value to wildlife and to protect any existing ecological features from substantial damage during site preparation and subsequently, the completion of construction works.
A suitably qualified ecologist will visit the site and establish if it is of “low ecological value” and produce an assessment report.
They will also establish that all existing features of ecological value surrounding the construction zone and site boundary area are adequately protected from damage during clearance, site preparation and construction activities.
