Before setting up WPS Compliance Consulting, Ayris gained a masters in environmental management before going to work for the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) and the Building Research Establishment.

WPS provides a wide range of services, covering planning, BREEAM and environmental consultancy. It has also developed a software tool called SitePlan that enables clients to be self-sufficient and manage their own waste and environmental data.

Over the past ten years, Ayris has published numerous papers and for several years now has been lecturing at a number of universities. She was awarded ‘Outstanding Woman in Construction’ in 2012 for her success in driving down waste in the construction industry. 

“She is one of the country’s most knowledgeable brains with regard to construction waste, particularly with regard to implementing the waste duty of care regulations in the industry due to the unique complications involved,” says one backer.
