Recycled Aggregates (BREEAM WST02)

What is the aim of BREEAM wST02 credit ?

The aim of this credit is to encourage the use of recycled and secondary aggregates during a project, thereby reducing the demand for virgin material and optimising material efficiency in construction.

Recycled or secondary aggregates are either from construction, demolition or excavation waste, obtained on-site or off-site. Alternatively, they can be secondary aggregates obtained from a non-construction post-consumer industrial by-product source.

To achieve the BREEAM credit calculations are required to demonstrate the percentage and quantity of recycled or secondary aggregates used on a project and confirm their compliance.

WPSCC can assist you in obtaining this credit.
