Project Overview
WPSCC were first contacted by RED Industries in September 2023, to deliver our virtual training course: Introduction to Waste Classification (WM3). The positive delivery and feedback resulted in WPSCC being approached to create and deliver bespoke training materials for graduate recruits and current staff members. The content included – Waste Classification (WM3), Hazardous Waste Requirements and Introduction to Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP), Duty of Care, Waste Auditing, and Waste Legislation.
WPSCC visited the RED Industries Brownhills facility in November 2023 to familiarise themselves with RED Industries’ operations. We had the opportunity to review the training scope for operational delivery, identify areas of work to be extended and identify any further RED resources and bespoke content required so they can be obtained. It was an invaluable visit, that resulted in the project being a huge success. A strong partnership was built between WPSCC and RED Industries, which involved effective communication, collaboration, overall trust to achieve the desired outcome, and successfully deliver the developed content.
Our Story
WPSCC’s Principal Consultant and Training Development Manager Claire Poole was responsible for producing the course content and delivering the material, using her 30 years + experience in the Waste and Environmental sector. Early in the process it was evident that WPSCC had taken on a substantial task especially to satisfy the required timescales, however, we rose to the challenge and persevered to achieve Red Industries’ requirements within those required timescales. We were not only prepared to take on board any new information and adapt it, but also to produce engaging and informative content that was delivered to the highest standard.
